Assessment
Assessment helps new and returning students get started. A correct class placement is an important part of the onboarding. It helps match you with the English and Math classes that fit your major and education plan.
How placement works:
Your first English and Math placements are based on the information you report, including:
- The highest math class you have completed
- Your high school GPA
- Your academic or degree plan
After you log in to MyPalomar, you will need to complete the Placement Survey. This survey helps you find your way around your MyPalomar dashboard and confirms your class placement.
Make sure your student record is correct.
Check that your program of study is up to date. Your placement is based on the degree or program you choose.
Requisite Clearances
Assessment also perform requisite clearances for the following courses:
- All English courses
- All Math courses
- Business 204
- Economics 101, 102
- Engineering 126
