Hours of Operation:
The Mailroom (Room A-23) is open as follows:
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
U.S. Mail Pickup and Delivery Times:
The U.S. mail is delivered to the Mailroom at approximately 10:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. The mail is then sorted and placed in the appropriate boxes, typically by 11:00 a.m. Mail received on Mondays and after holidays takes longer to sort because of the volume of mail received.
Outgoing U.S. mail is gathered throughout the day from the mail drop slots in A-23 and from the off-campus courier. There is also a USPS mail drop box on the curb in front of the Administration building for personal mail. The U.S. Postal Service picks up mail at approximately 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday from the outside drop box. Any outgoing mail must be in the Mailroom by 3:30 p.m. to be sure it will be processed in time for that day’s mail pick-up.
Billing is processed at the beginning of each month for the prior month’s charges. Monthly billing will be sent to Fiscal Services each month to charge departments for their usage. Please contact Jeannette Haas at Extension 2113 if you have any questions.
Off-Site Mail Delivery:
Mail is picked up from the Mailroom by our couriers before 8 a.m. for delivery to the Centers on Tuesdays.
Faculty/Staff Mailbox locations:
Our mail distribution list is updated every semester based on information received from departments. We use this information to route mail to the appropriate mailboxes. Please be sure to send mailbox location changes to the Mailroom as soon as possible.
