This form is for High School District staff/administrators/faculty to submit their request to articulate a course. This is not for students and/or families.

Thank you for your interest in articulating your high school class with Palomar College and enabling your students to earn college credit and high school credit simultaneously. Your application requires multiple steps (link to overview of documents required). The Palomar College CTE Office, however, is available to support you during this process and to ensure your course meets Palomar College requirements. Please contact ctetransitions@palomar.edu for assistance. Please answer all questions and submit the requested documentation. You are welcome to submit your request for this articulation agreement. However, please note that it will be considered “pending” and will not be forwarded to faculty until all required documents are received, including the syllabus, course outline, and detailed final exam or project. You are responsible for submitting the remaining documents by April 15. If the required materials are not received by the deadline, Palomar College reserves the right to defer the agreement review to the next academic year. Submissions will be processed in the order they are received.

I understand that if this request is approved, it is my responsibility to ensure students and families are aware of the requirements and steps needed in order for students to earn college credit through Palomar College.
I understand that the student must earn a B or better in the course and on the final exam in order to be eligible for credit.
I understand that articulation agreements are a Title 5 Credit By Exam process and student college transcripts will reflect the final exam grade with the notation of Credit By Exam.
I understand that Palomar Community College District faculty of the appropriate discipline shall determine if:
1. Content of the articulated course is aligned with the course outline of record; and
2. Examination process adequately measures mastery of the course content as set forth in the course outline of record.

Palomar College credit is awarded following the CTE High School Articulation/ Credit by Exam process and transcribed as credit by exam. At minimum, most credit by exam transfers as lower division elective credit. However, each CSU and UC campus will determine if the course completed with a credit by exam notation on the transcript will transfer as credit to a specific CSU or UC campus. If a student plans to transfer to a private or out-of-state college or university, contact their representatives to see which units are transferable. Students should meet with a counselor for more detailed information to see how their credit will transfer to a specific campus and major.
