Upward Bound Interest Form
Palomar College Upward Bound Programs serve students at Oceanside, Vista, Valley, Orange Glen, Escondido, Fallbrook, Rancho Buena Vista, and Borrego Springs High Schools. Once admitted into the program, it is expected that students will remain active participants through high school graduation.
To be eligible for Upward Bound, a student must be:

- Meet current U.S Department of Education Federal TRiO Income Guidelines AND/OR
- Potential first-generation college student (neither parent has earned a Bachelor's degree)

Upward Bound is for you if...
- You want to go to college after high school graduation
- You want to gain the skills to improve your chances of succeeding in high school and in college.
- You want to be prepared for the rigor of college
- You enjoy educational and cultural trips and hands-on activities during the year and summer.
- You want to meet new friends, learn new things about yourself and develop as a scholar.

- Advice and assistance in course selection
- Assistance in preparing for college entrance exams
- Assistance in completing college admissions applications
- Guidance in scholarships and financial aid
- College major and career exploration opportunities
- Visits to colleges and exposure to cultural events
- Instruction in math, laboratory science, composition, literature, and foreign language
- 6 Week Summer Program
