Now is the time! Come study in the TLC. You can study independently, with a friend, or a classmate. Use one of our study rooms that has a large screen TV and whiteboard. Enjoy the views from the 4th floor and all of the natural light. TLC is the place to be no matter your grades. Walk-in tutoring is available and it’s FREE! TLC Rancho Bernardo offers tutoring to ALL Palomar College students. Study habits are important. One good study habit is getting reading the material before your lecture. This will introduce you to the topic in a way that allows you to think of questions that might be answered during lecture. Once you are done with lecture, another good habit is to ask questions. If you don’t ask a question that you have, it might not be answered. Faculty office hours and tutoring are great ways to make sure your questions are answered.

It’s better to create a regular study routine than cram the night before. It’s not too late for you to start your routine. We’re waiting for you to come to the TLC in Rancho Bernardo to study and/or work with a tutor.
Come up to the TLC Rancho Bernardo for FREE tutoring in biology, English, math, and chemistry. Working with a tutor can help you retain the information you need for your exams. You can come in and work independently or with a tutor. You can also learn new strategies to use in and out of class.

Spring 2019 Finals Week Rancho Bernardo
Hello Palomar Students,
All registered Palomar College students are welcome to come and use the TLC in Rancho Bernardo. The TLC in RB is the perfect place to study, get tutoring, and grab a snack. The TLC RB has study rooms and an open study area where you can study with friends, classmates, or individually.
We’re open Monday – Thursday (7:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m.) and Friday (8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.)
Jesus, the math tutor, is here M-Th from 9:30 a.m. -6:00 p.m.
Maria, the English/writing tutor, is here M-Th from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Stop by and grab a snack to eat while you study.

The Teaching and Learning Center in Rancho Bernardo has two new biology tutors! Come up to SEC-401 and meet Aaron and David! Both tutors are ready to help you with biology.

Monday/Wednesday – 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
You can also come in and talk with our other tutors about math or English/writing.

Laptops, Printing, Study Rooms,Free Tutoring, Great Views
The Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) Rancho Bernardo has laptops and printing available to all registered Palomar College students. Come in and check out a laptop. Need to print? You can do that here too.
In fact, you can do a lot in the TLC:
- Receive FREE tutoring in English/writing, math, and science.
- study independently
- print in black and white or color
- check out a laptop and a calculator to use in the TLC
- Use a collaborative group study room with a Whiteboard and smart technology
Did you know that students who work with a tutor on a regular basis are likely to receive one grade higher than just working alone? The Rancho Bernardo TLC is a space for all registered Palomar College students. A student can take classes in San Marcos and work with a tutor in Rancho Bernardo. All tutoring is completely free!
