I started as a student at the first community college in California – Fresno City College. I graduated from FCC and transferred to UC Davis.  After getting my B.A. in English with minors in communications and linguistics at UC Davis, I eventually moved to South Korea to teach English.  After returning to the United States, I earned my M.A. in linguistics with an emphasis in Teaching English as a Second Language from Fresno State.  I taught ESL, linguistics, and English for Academic Purposes at two community colleges and a private university, and I helped coordinate for three different tutoring programs before moving to San Diego.   My passion to work with students led me here to the Rancho Bernardo South Education Center.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

I was raised in North County and earned an A.S. in medical office administration and an A.A. in general studies with an emphasis in social and behavioral sciences from Palomar College. I have worked for Palomar College since 2013 as a part-time office assistant at both the Escondido and San Marcos Teaching and Learning Center. Additionally, I have worked with many Palomar programs such as Summer Bridge, First Year Experience, and Palomar Promise. I love being part of a team that helps students achieve academic success. As the administrative specialist at the Rancho Bernardo TLC, I hope to make this center an inviting place for students to learn.

Meet our tutors. Together they can tutor: biology, chemistry, English/writing, CAD/REVIT, physics, CSCI, and math.
Hello! My name is Kennedy, and I’m an English and writing tutor. I can help with English 100, English 202, or any other writing assignments. I’m also a student here at Palomar, but this will be my last semester before I transfer. As of right now, I'm planning on double majoring in English and marketing. I hope to transfer to either SDSU or CSUSM in the fall. I have always had a passion for reading, writing, and anything related to English, and I’m happy to assist you this semester!
Chemistry tutor named WeronikaMy name is Weronika, but I usually go by Nika. I was born in Poland and moved to San Diego a few years ago. I love the weather and beaches here. In my free time I enjoy spending time in nature by taking my dogs on hikes or to the beach. I also like drawing and painting as well as making little arts-and-crafts. I’m currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in chemistry, and overall enjoy learning about many different science related topics.
Hi there, my name is Ayman, and I'm excited to introduce myself as a math tutor. I've always been fascinated by the power of numbers and the beauty of mathematical concepts. From a young age, I found myself drawn to solving math problems and exploring new mathematical theories. As I got older, I realized that not everyone shared my enthusiasm for math and that many students struggled with the subject. That's when I decided that I wanted to use my passion for math to help others. I became a math tutor so that I could share my knowledge and help students develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of math. I'm excited to work with students of all levels and ages, and I'm committed to making math fun and accessible for everyone.
Hello, my name is Christopher, and I am a computer science major. I graduated from Palomar College and transferred to UCSD. I have had plenty of experience in math, as I took Math 200, 205, 206, and 245 as well as many of the previous courses beforehand. I look forward to tutoring you soon.
