To ensure improved call reception while inside a Palomar College building, you can enable Wi-Fi calling on your personal cell phone. Here’s how you can do this, understanding that the specific steps may vary by manufacturer.

General Steps to Enable Wi-Fi Calling:

  1. Open your phone’s Settings app
  2. Search for Wi-Fi Calling in the settings menu. You might find it under Connections, Network & Internet, or Phone settings
  3. Toggle the Wi-Fi Calling option to On
  4. Some manufacturers may require you to complete an E911 form for emergency services. Follow the your phone’s instructions if this applies
  5. Ensure your phone is connected to the Palomar-Secure Wi-Fi network
