For Quick Questions

Quick Questions are intented for general or specific questions that can be answered in 15 minutes or less.

  • Examples of quick questions are:
    • Math or English placement
    • Class availability or course selection
    • Withdrawal dates
    • Course Repetition
    • Registration dates
    • How to add, drop, waitlist class
    • Assistance with completing admissions, records, or evaluation forms
  • If you have a quick question, please schedule a 15-Minute appointment.

We offer virtual or in-person appointments. Please review the information below before selecting your appointment type.

  • Laptop or Computer is preferred, as mobile device may not have full capabilities.
  • Choose a time when you can be fully present and are not balancing another commitment.
  • Join from a safe and relatively quiet location whenever possible.
  • Do not join your virtual appointment while driving. Driving is not allowed during a virtual counseling appointment.
  • A camera is not required for Zoom appointments, but preferred.

For in-person appointments:

  • Available at Escondido, Fallbrook, Rancho Bernardo, or San Marcos.
  • For students who are not comfortable using a computer or Zoom.
  • For students with limited access to a reliable computer or internet connection.
  • For students who prefer reviewing documents with a counselor in person.

Important Information Before Scheduling

  • You will receive an appointment confirmation and reminder by email and text message.
  • For Zoom appointments, your Zoom link will be sent to your Palomar email from noreply@palomar.edu within one hour of scheduling.
  • If you have transcripts from another college, please make sure they are on file before your appointment. You may contact the Records/Transcript Office at 760-744-1150 ext. 2169 or provide unofficial transcripts to your counselor at least two days before your appointment.
  • Students who need accommodations are encouraged to contact the Counseling front desk to make arrangements with the Disability Resource Center (DRC).
