Behavioral Health and Campus Wellness Committee

The Behavioral Health and Campus Wellness Committee (BHWC),  promotes a safe and healthy learning environment for all Palomar College students and employees through collaborative, preventive and supportive resources and activities that facilitate behavioral health and campus wellness.  The Committee meets on the second Thursday of each month during the academic year from 1:30 – 3:00pm.

BHWC is responsible for promoting and providing educational awareness; developing and recommending prevention strategies, encouraging communication and collaboration among departments; serving as both a campus resource and developer of resources; recommending policies, procedures and training opportunities; and facilitating periodic needs assessments.

The Behavioral Health and Campus Wellness Committee reports to the Student Services Planning Council and is co-chaired by the Dean  of Counseling Services and an elected committee member.
