American Indian Library Association Homepage is a portal designed to help focus research on subjects related to Native American cultures, histories and politics.

American Indian Biographies is a sub-set of Biographies hosted by Infoplease.com.  A good general resource designed to help basic research on notable Native Americans.

Native Studies – California State University San Marcos  is a website for the Native American Studies Program at CSU San Marcos.

The British Library contains many search engine possibilities for detailed research globally and outside of the U.S.

Index of Native American Bibliography Resources on the Internet is a very good and easy-to-use search engine for topics related to Native American Studies.

Index of Native American Resources on the Internet is an incredible search engine designed to offer portals to/through different resources on any subject related to Native American research.

Library of Congress contains a number of research items for any discipline.

National Geographic Maps allows researchers to view detailed maps and information about a specific region locally and globally.  An excellent source for those seeking to expand their individual research.

Native Tribes of the United States and Canada is a general website that offers information about the various tribes throughout North America.  Supporting information can be found within this website.

Native Web has many resources for those interested in American Indian Studies.

Public Broadcasting System (PBS) contains general information globally that is updated in real-time.  Information can be tailored to focus on a specific region/location locally and/or globally.

San Diego State University American Indian Studies Department is a valuable resource with information and links relating to a variety of Native American issues.

In an emergency, one of Pala Rez RadioTM‘s resources for obtaining information is local amateur radio operators.  Even if you don’t have a Ham license you can monitor their frequencies:  Fallbrook repeater 146.175, Palomar repeater 146.730, RACES repeater 147.195, on any radio that receives the 2 meter band.  There are “smart phone” apps that do this too.

The California Department of Forestry’s frequency is 151.190 and the CHP is 39.800.
