Welcome to San Diego North County's only Nationally Accredited Registered Dental Assisting Program Why pay thousands of dollars to other schools that will only give you certification in the state of California and a poor passing rate on state examinations? Palomar College and Mesa College RDA Programs are the only programs in San Diego County that are recognized by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB), allowing you to become a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA). Other Dental Assisting programs will not give you the education necessary to become a Certified Dental Assistant. Although only an RDA license is required in California, a CDA license is required in 38 states plus Washington D.C. If life should take you to another state, make sure your hard-earned education will transfer and be recognized. Graduation from the RDA Program at Palomar Community College will allow you to take the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB). Become a Certified Dental Assistant AND a California Registered Dental Assistant at the same time and at NO extra cost! In addition to becoming an RDA and a CDA, Palomar College awards the following required certificates in the state of California: Pit and Fissure Sealants, Radiation Safety (X-ray), Coronal Polishing, Infection Control and California Dental Practice Act. The Registered Dental Assisting Program at Palomar College is VERY affordable! For program costs click $$. Graduates from the RDA program are required to take a state board examination. Palomar College students passed the 2010 RDA CA Board exam at a 95%success rate! (Mesa College 82%, UEI San Diego 82%, UEI Chula Vista 67%, Kaplan College 67%, Concord Career Center San Diego 64% Chaffey College 60%) The RDA Program at Palomar College qualifies students to take both state and national examinations.
