Assessment,
Advisement, and Orientation is required for all new beginning
students! All students must
submit an
application for admission before an appointment for
Assessment, Advisement and Orientation can be made.
Appointments can be made
online
by clicking here.
If you
have any difficulty, please call (760) 744-1150 ext. 2383 or 2476.
Provide your Palomar ID number, phone
number and the day and time you would like for your appointment.
If you do not know your ID number, please go to
eServices.

| WHAT IS ASSESSMENT, ADVISEMENT AND
ORIENTATION? |
| |
|
Assessment - Identifies a
student's present level of skills in English, reading and
math.
Advisement - Students
receive their results and are made aware of the level of English,
reading and math which they may register for.
Orientation - The orientation
gives an overview of instructional programs and support services.
Certificate, degree and transfer requirements are discussed to
assist the student with registration. This process, along with
assessment and advisement takes approximately three
hours.

| REGISTRATION |
| Student ACCESS/Assessment Center SU-1.
Walk into campus and find the flag pole.
Find the chairs and tables in a commons area. You
will be facing the Student Union.
We are located directly behind the Student Union.
Assessment Center sign is on our building. (Click

| PARKING |
| Allow 30 minutes for parking. Obtain a
parking permit from Campus Police at college main entrance from
West Mission Road. |

| TIME |
| Assessment begins promptly at time
indicated; no one will be admitted late. Assessment will
take approximately three (3) hours. |
