I started as a student at the first community college in California – Fresno City College. I graduated from FCC and transferred to UC Davis.  After getting my B.A. in English with minors in communications and linguistics at UC Davis, I eventually moved to South Korea to teach English.  After returning to the United States, I earned my M.A. in linguistics with an emphasis in Teaching English as a Second Language from Fresno State.  I taught ESL, linguistics, and English for Academic Purposes at two community colleges and a private university, and I helped coordinate for three different tutoring programs before moving to San Diego.   My passion to work with students led me here to the Rancho Bernardo South Education Center.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

I was raised in North County and earned an A.S. in medical office administration and an A.A. in general studies with an emphasis in social and behavioral sciences from Palomar College. I have worked for Palomar College since 2013 as a part-time office assistant at both the Escondido and San Marcos Teaching and Learning Center. Additionally, I have worked with many Palomar programs such as Summer Bridge, First Year Experience, and Palomar Promise. I love being part of a team that helps students achieve academic success. As the administrative specialist at the Rancho Bernardo TLC, I hope to make this center an inviting place for students to learn.

Meet our tutors. Together they can tutor: biology, chemistry, English/writing, physics, CSCI, and math.
English/Writing Tutor MichelleHi, I'm Michelle, and I'm an English and writing tutor. I'm happy to help with any and all stages of the writing process, from figuring out first ideas and constructing arguments to making sure grammar and citations are correct. I love to read and analyze works. I have a degree in English, and I'm studying ASL interpreting here at Palomar College.

Chemistry tutor named WeronikaMy name is Weronika, but I usually go by Nika. I was born in Poland and moved to San Diego a few years ago. I love the weather and beaches here. In my free time I enjoy spending time in nature by taking my dogs on hikes or to the beach. I also like drawing and painting as well as making little arts-and-crafts. I’m currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in chemistry, and overall enjoy learning about many different science related topics.
Hello, my name is Christopher, and I am a computer science major. I graduated from Palomar College and transferred to UCSD. I have had plenty of experience in math, as I took Math 200, 205, 206, and 245 as well as many of the previous courses beforehand. I look forward to tutoring you soon.

Hello! My name is Mehran. I tutor all levels of math. I look forward to work with you.
Hi, I’m Jasmin! I’m a passionate tutor who loves helping students explore the worlds of chemistry and biology. Whether you’re balancing chemical equations or diving into the wonders of living organisms, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. When I’m not tutoring, you’ll probably find me tending to my garden or working on my latest crochet project. I believe learning should be a positive and encouraging experience, so if you’re looking for a friendly space to boost your understanding and confidence in Chemistry or science, come on in — I’d love to help you succeed!
Tutor JonHello, my name is Jon. I studied chemistry in my undergrad and worked in undergraduate research. I finished my prereqs here at Palomar and just started the Palomar College Nursing Program. My dream is to go to PA school and become a PA. Some hobbies I have include running, hiking, and reading. I tutor BIO 100, BIO 210, BIO 211, BIO 212, and CHEM 100. If you ever need someone to help guide you through some practice problems or aid you in the accomplishment of your goals, feel free to drop in for a tutoring session!
Hello, my name is Anthony-Jacob, but you can call me Anthony or Jacob. I don't have a preference so don't worry about picking the wrong one. I am currently enrolled as a student tutor at Palomar College, focusing on architecture and interior design (ARCH/ID) for my chosen majors. I enjoy the creativity and expression that goes into planning and designing projects, and that passion extends to helping others with theirs. While my main focuses are helping with digital programs like AutoCAD and Revit, I am also willing to help you with generating a workflow for your creative processes and navigating certain design approaches, like sustainability. Like you, I am also looking to further my skill set. As such, if there is anything related to the ARCH/ID field of study that you find yourself wanting to learn more about, please feel free to stop by the Rancho Bernardo TLC.
Hi my name is Mina, and I am the tutor for the Fashion Department. I'm excited to meet and get to know you and assist you with whatever you need.

The S.T.A.R Center, Fallbrook TLC, Escondido TLC, and Rancho Bernardo TLC are managed by Alex Cuatok in the S.T.A.R Center.
