Tutoring Offerings
Tutoring is free for all Palomar students. The TLC Escondido offers on-site, walk-in tutoring for economics, English/writing, ESL, math, psychology, Spanish, speech, and statistics. We also can help with Canvas, MS Office, and Zoom.
You can visit the Tutoring Services webpage to find the other tutoring centers in the district and the Tutoring course in Canvas to find the tutors’ schedules, subjects they tutor, days/times, location, modality (online or on-site), etc.
Please note that all students receiving tutoring will also be enrolled in N BASC 904: Supervised Tutoring. This is a no cost, zero unit course. It does NOT show up on your official college transcript.

On-site Walk-in Tutoring:
The Teaching & Learning Center (TLC) is a multifunctional space for students and faculty to use and exchange ideas. The large central area provides students with space where they may study or receive tutoring and learning assistance from tutors and staff.
The reception area is where students can ask questions, sign in for tutoring, proctoring or Skillshops. Three smaller rooms provide students with a private space to have group study sessions or to meet with an instructor. A larger instructional classroom provides instructors a space to conduct Skillshops for students and faculty. The TLC has up-to-date technologies like data projectors, an Intelliboard, wireless internet, and universal access services for students with disabilities.
The TLC staff strives to create a pleasant working space for everyone.
