Dr. Recalde has served as Interim Superintendent/President at Palomar College since December 2025 and has been Assistant Superintendent/Vice President, Instruction Services since January 2023. Prior to that she was Dean, School of Health Sciences and Public Service, at San Diego Mesa College, San Diego Community College District. Also, at San Diego Mesa College she was a faculty member and directed the Physical Therapist Assistant Program.

Dr. Recalde has a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, University of Southern California; M.S., Exercise Science and Health Promotion, Middle Tennessee State University; and B.S. Animal Physiology and Neuroscience, University of California, San Diego.
