Dr. Torres served as President, De Anza College, Foothill-DeAnza Community College District in 2025 -2026. Previously at College of the Canyons he was Assistant Superintendent/Vice President of Instruction, 2020-2025, Associate Vice President of Instruction, 2017-2020, and Instructional Dean, 2010 -2014 and 2015 – 2017. In 2014 – 2015 he was Vice President of Academic Affairs, Santa Ana College, Rancho Santiago Community College District. He was a faculty member in Chemistry at Moorpark College and Los Angeles City College.

Dr. Torres has an Ed.D., Organizational Leadership, University of La Verne; M.S., Chemistry, University of California, Los Angeles; and B.S. Chemistry, Texas A & M University.
