Students in this program develop practical life, communication, and workplace skills in a supportive and structured learning environment. Courses focus on areas such as wellness, daily living, problem-solving, communication, and basic technology to help learners grow at their own pace.
Pre-Vocational Certificate of Completion
Palomar’s Adult Education Workforce Preparation – Pre-Vocational Certificate of Completion is a six course, noncredit program designed to help students develop foundational skills that can increase independence at home, in the community, and in the workplace. Courses for this program include:

Disability Resource Center (DRC)
Palomar’s DRC supports qualified students with disabilities in accessing the full college experience. The DRC works with students, faculty and staff to provide reasonable academic accommodations, specialized instruction, adaptive technology, advocacy and other support services.
Students who are new to Palomar and would like to receive disability related services should:
- Apply to Palomar College and obtain a Palomar student ID number.
- Complete the DRC application.
- Provide verification of disability as requested by the DRC.
- Meet with DRC counselor to discuss accommodations and educational goals.
