PALOMAR PERFORMING ARTS AUDITIONS: ALICE BY HEART
Description: In the rubble of the London Blitz of World War II, Alice Spencer’s budding teen life is turned upside down, and she and her dear friend Alfred are forced to take shelter in an underground tube station. When the ailing Alfred is quarantined, Alice encourages him to escape with her into their cherished book and journey down the rabbit hole to Wonderland. As they travel through the tale, Alice By Heart explores the poignancy of first love, coming to terms with loss, and finding the courage to move forward. This musical encourages us all to celebrate the transformational power of the imagination, even in the harshest of times.

In this comedic romp into the world of fantasy role-playing games, join Agnes Evans on the D&D adventure of her life. As Agnes embarks on a campaign to discover the truth about her deceased younger sister, she encounters homicidal fairies, nasty ogres and 90s pop culture. Acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen creates a high-octane dramatic comedy and heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all.
The Palomar Chorale and Palomar Chamber Singers present a program of choral music reflecting on inner peace, love, and hope. Works featured include Eric Whitacre’s Five Hebrew Love Songs, selections from Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols, and selections from the Christmas Oratorio by Camille Saint-Säens.
