Join the JFS- Higher Education Legal Services team as they offer an informative presentation on the DACA (Deferred Action Childhood Arrival) Program. Learn what the eligibility requirements are, what current DACA holders should do, and the latest news updates. In addition to that – HELS will be going over general Know Your Rights information. Due to living in a border community, our chances of running into immigration law enforcement is more likely than other areas. HELS will break down our basic constitutional rights and a family preparedness plan in case you or your loved one(s) are exposed to an unfortunate situation (i.e., detention or deportation).
