Admissions Process Timeline – Cohort 2 (Begins Fall 2027)
- Application Opens: December 16, 2026
- Application Closes: February 17, 2027
- Academic Eligibility Review: mid-February 2027 – mid-March 2027
- First Round of decline notices sent.
- Portfolio Review: mid-March 2027
- Second Round of decline notices sent.
- Interviews: Begin week of March 30, 2027
- Final Admissions Decisions: Early April 2027
- Decision Emails – Mid-April 2027
- Accepted Admission, Waitlisted, Denied Admission
- Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) Due: May 1, 2027
- Students Admitted From Waitlist: May 2, 2027 – August 8, 2027
- Mandatory Orientation for New Students: Week of August 9, 2027
THE APPLICATION FOR COHORT 1 FOR FALL 2026 HAS CLOSED.
- The BPED Application will be closed as of February 17, 2027.
- The BPED Program does not offer a rolling application or enrollment.
- The BPED Application is savable, so you can save your application and return to it later. It does not require completion in one session.
- Unofficial Transcripts will be used during the Application process for the Academic Eligibility Review. All applicants will submit unofficial transcripts for this review.
- Portfolio document format required for the BPED Application is PDF (Adobe).
- Portfolio maximum file size of 15MB.
- Application submission confirmation should be received at your @student.palomar.edu email address within 24 hours of application submission.
