How are course recommendations made?
Our goal is to help you succeed. We review your background and recommend the English class that gives you the best chance to do well. If the information shows you may need extra support in transfer-level English (ENGL C1000), you may be advised to take ENGL C1000E.
Eligibility for English courses is determined using Multiple Measures in the English Placement Process on MyPalomar.
To earn an AA or AS degree, you must complete ENGL C1000 or ENGL C1000E with a grade of C or better.
Transferable to UC & CSU
The following English courses transfer to UC and CSU:
- ENGL C1000
- ENGL C1000E
- ENG 203
- ENGL C1001
