Accessibility in the Digital Space: What About PDFs?
This workshop is for faculty, staff, administrators – anyone who uses PDF files on a regular basis. Almost daily, we engage with Adobe PDF files. But when it comes to DEIAA, and without addressing its inherent accessibility issues, the PDF might not be an equitable solution. Learn a bit about the PDF’s history and why it is both amazing and not always the best choice for digital information sharing. In this workshop, we will explore the accessibility options for PDFs, best practices for sharing them, how to know when another document type is best, and how to use the remediation tools. Presented by Kelly Helming. Modality Note: This meeting is fully online via Zoom • https://palomar-edu.zoom.us/my/khelming
