A Campus of Unity and Inclusion

At Palomar College, our mission is to provide an engaging teaching and learning environment for students of diverse origins, experiences, needs, abilities, and goals.  In working toward this mission, we are committed to providing a safe, equitable and welcoming educational environment for all students, regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or immigration status.

Since the completion of the recent election season, it has become evident that many students, faculty, and staff are experiencing a wide range of emotions, including those of anxiety and fear.  As an institution of higher learning we will continue to promote an atmosphere of dialogue and free speech, which also striving for an atmosphere of inclusion and mutual respect.

We are committed to doing everything within our legal authority to protect all our students and their right to privacy as defined in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).  We will also work with our partners throughout the region, in Sacramento and in Washington DC to ensure that all our students have a safe haven to pursue and complete their educational goals.
