Patricia Ann Dixon, (Luiseño) Chair, M.A. 1971-present

Ms. Dixon received a B.A. and M.A. in History, and minored in Religious Studies and Sociology at the University of San Diego. She is also a lecturer and consultant on the American Frontier and Indian History for local schools and colleges. Ms. Dixon has continued graduate studies in comparative religion. Linda Rose Locklear, (Catabwa/Lumbee) M.S. 1974-present

Ms. Locklear received a B.A. from San Diego State University in Sociology with a minor in Anthropology. She received an M.S. at San Diego State University in Counseling and a M.A. in sociology from the U. of California, San Diego. She is a consultant and lecturer on contemporary Indian issues for schools and organizations. Her research area is ethnographic and documentary film on American Indians. Email: llocklea@palomar.edu

Steven J. Crouthamel, M.A. 1975-present

Mr. Crouthamel received an M.A. from the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill). He did field work in Southeast Asia, Central California, and rural North Carolina. In addition, he did research in nutritional and medical anthropology. His current research interests include ethnoscience and symbolic anthropology. Email: scrouthamel@palomar.edu

Deborah W. Dozier, Ph.D.2001-Present

Ms. Dozier received her Ph.D. from University of California, Riverside. She has done extensive research and field work in Southern California. Special research interests include textiles, basketry, ethnobotany and the arts. Email: ddozier@palomar.edu
