Our Mission is to help students prepare to pursue a career in Woodworking.
The Palomar College Cabinet and Furniture Technology program offers one of the the most comprehensive woodworking career curriculum in the nation.
Our program is built on decades of excellence (1956-present) with an annual enrollment of more than 750 students in over 35 different classes.
Utilizing three fully-equipped shops, our 4 full-time (and numerous part-time) instructors provide a breadth of courses and depth of expertise impossible to obtain from smaller programs.

Whether you’re interested in fine furniture making, production cabinetmaking, or guitar making, it all begins with CFT 100: Fundamentals of Woodworking.
CFT 100 is the foundation of our program and a required pre/co-requisite for all other woodworking courses and certificates.
We offer multiple sections each semester—including nights and weekends—to fit your schedule.
