Wings of Hope: Guided Painting

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month through creativity, reflection, and community in Wings of Hope, a guided painting workshop featuring the monarch butterfly- a powerful symbol of resilience, migration, transformation, and belonging. Participants will create their own butterfly inspired artwork while exploring the deeper meaning the monarch holds for many immigrant communities, including Dreamers and undocumented students.
Like the monarch, countless individuals and families journey across borders in search of opportunity, hope, and a brighter future. This workshop honors the courage, perseverance, and dreams of those who navigate challenges while continuing to pursue their goals. Through step-by-step painting instruction, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on themes of identity, strength, and hope while expressing themselves in a supporting and welcoming environment.
