The Palomar College Police Department are proud supporters of our Rising Scholars Program.  Over the last few years, we have witnessed the expansion and growth of the program, enhancing the education and lives of those who were formerly incarcerated.  Our agency watched “Almost Home” and have interacted with students featured in the compelling story.  As an adjunct faculty member in the Administration of Justice program, we have invited Rising Scholars to share their stories.  Many involve themes of redemption and inspiration. 

I am proud to see members of the program graduate at commencement and start their path to the trades, UC and CSU systems.  Each year we work to connect with students to expand our mutual respect so they can be successful on the path to education and independence.
