Full Time Waiver for Graduating Promise Students

Instructions for completing the waiver

Palomar Promise graduating students who need less than 12 units to complete their associate degree and/or certificate requirement must submit this waiver for approval in order to remain eligible for Palomar Promise.  Deadline to submit is Friday, February 21, 2025. 

Step 1: Meet with a Promise counselor to verify if you will complete all your academic requirements this semester. Indicate on the waiver the number of units required to complete your associate degree and/or certificate requirement.
Step 2: Must apply for Graduation for waiver to be considered. Click here for information on how to submit a petition for graduation to the Evaluations and Records Office.  Deadline to submit a petition for graduation for spring 2025 is Feb 28, 2025.
Step 3: Complete the Promise Full-Time Waiver form and upload a copy of your Educational Plan verifying units needed for degree/certificate completion. Steps 1 and 2 must be completed prior to submitting the Promise Full-Time waiver in order for your request to be reviewed. 

*Students will be notified via the Palomar student email regarding the approval/denial of the waiver request.
