Health and Kinesiology Careers

Education in health and kinesiology opens the door to a diverse range of career opportunities that cater to the growing demand for wellness and fitness expertise. As society increasingly prioritizes health and fitness, the skills acquired in health and kinesiology programs equip graduates to thrive in various settings, including healthcare facilities, fitness centers, schools, and corporate wellness programs. Furthering education in the field can lead to careers as athletic trainers, exercise physiologists, physical therapists, and health coaches, among others. Additional pathways include careers in sports management, rehabilitation services, and public health, allowing professionals to make a significant impact on individual and community well-being. Whether working directly with clients or in administrative roles, the career possibilities are both fulfilling and vital to enhancing quality of life.

At Palomar, we take pride in academically preparing our students for transfer opportunities into Kinesiology Baccalaureate programs so they have more career opportunities. We encourage students to pursue an Associate of Arts for Transfer (AA-T) in Kinesiology. Earning an AA-T in Kinesiology satisfies lower division general education as well as the prep for major required for a seamless transfer into a 4-year university.
