COMPANY OFFICER 2B-General Administrative Functions of Company Officers

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This California State Fire Marshal certified course provides information on general administrative responsibilities of a fire company officer. Other topics include the implementation of department policies and procedures as well as conveying the fire department’s role, image, and mission to the public. This course is intended for practicing firefighters seeking advancement to the company officer level.

DATES: October 28-30, 2024

LOCATION:  City of San Marcos Fire Training Facility / Palomar College Fire Academy, 182 Santar Place, San Marcos CA  92069.  Classroom 3A (classroom door is on the East end of the Palomar College Public Saftey Administration building (Sheriff’s station)).

REGISTRATION:Prior to registering, please obtain a student ID number (nine digit number only; you do not need a physical ID card) by applying to Palomar College from the main website (https://www2.palomar.edu/). PREREQUISITE:    Meet the educational requirements for Fire Fighter II or four (4) years as a career fire fighter or six (6) years as a volunteer fire fighter.
