TRIO Educational Talent Search (ETS) is a federally funded program offered through Palomar College in partnership with:
the Escondido Union School District,
the Escondido Union High School District,
and the Vista Unified School District.
The purpose of ETS is to identify, select, and assist (primarily) underserved and potential first-generation students to graduate from high school, prepare for and enroll in post-secondary education, and to graduate from a post-secondary institution within six years after high school graduation.
ETS supports students during their middle school and high school years in order to instill the skills, confidence, and knowledge necessary to succeed in the post-secondary education track of their choice.
ETS aims to raise awareness among underrepresented youth by providing resources and support to both students and parents, as well as the community. The goal of ETS is to increase the number of youth from disadvantaged backgrounds who complete high school and enroll in and complete a post-secondary education.
