Commemorates the first recorded presence of Filipinos in the United States in 1587 and celebrates their cultural and historical contributions. It highlights the resilience, activism, and identity of Filipino Americans throughout U.S. history. The Filipino American National Historical Society introduced October as Filipino American History Month in 1992.
