2024-25 College Council Goals

  1. Complete the planned three-year evaluation of the College’s governance process andupdate the governance handbook as needed. This evaluation should address the following key areas identified through annual surveys and feedback from the College Council.
    • Assignment of representatives to governance councils, taskforces, and committees.
    • Communication and documentation of governance outcomes.
    • Refinement of council structure, if needed.
    • Review of operational committees.
    • Develop recommendations regarding council meeting times and modalities
      for ongoing review.

    2.  Review and update the College’s policies and procedures to ensure they are aligned with
         current legislative updates and accreditation standards and re-establish the regular process
         for ongoing review. 

    3.  Review and refine the College’s integrated planning model by: 

    • integrating institutional metrics across the major institutional plans
    • establishing timelines for updating plans and reporting to College Council
    • aligning plans and activities with the Educational and Facilities Vision Plan 2035
      through a “planning crosswalk,” and
    • developing a process for prioritizing funding for objectives in the Vision Plan’s
      annual implementation plan.
