QPR Training for Suicide Prevention & Intervention

Palomar College Behavioral Health Counseling Services and Team Life are hosting a valuable training during Mental Health Action Week called QRP: Question, Persuade & Refer Training for Suicide Prevention & Intervention.

As CPR is for the heart, QPR is for the mind.

QPR trains you on:

  • Recognizing suicide warning signs
  • Ways to initiate conversation
  • Methods of providing help and hope

This training is available to Palomar College students and employees via Zoom. Students can access the training using this Zoom link.

Professional Development credit is offered to employees for this training. Employees can sign up on the 3PD Portal.

IMALIVE Mental Health Fair is coming to Palomar College to kick off May’s Mental Health Month!

TrueCare’s Peer2Peer Program is partnering with Palomar College Health Services to offer the Palomar community an educational, interactive, and fun event surrounding mental health awareness.

Stop by the Student Union Quad on Wednesday, May 1st, between 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to participate in the festivities!
