Food & Nutrition Center

Did you know Palomar College students have access to free groceries, hygiene products, diapers, period products, snacks and other essential resources on campus? Students must be enrolled in at least one class to access services.

The Food and Nutrition Center (FNC) provides a variety of fresh produce, pantry staples, ready-to-eat foods, frozen items and basic needs support to help students stay healthy and successful in school.

Hours of Operation

Fall Hours: Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Services

  • Between 20 and 30 pounds of free groceries per month (depending on household size).
  • Diaper program for student-parents with dependent children under the age of 5 years old.
  • Free hygiene kits and period products.
  • Free snacks located at the Grab N’ Go fridges across the San Marcos campus and all three Education Centers (Fallbrook, Escondido, Rancho Bernarado).

Diaper Program

The Diaper Distribution Program is offered through a partnership with Jewish Family Service and the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank to support eligible students.​ Each student can receive up to 100 diapers per eligible child, per month.

To be eligible a student must:​

  • Be enrolled in the current semester​
  • Have completed the required Jot Form ​
  • Have a child under 5 years old​
