Religious Studies

Religious Studies is part of the Behavioral Sciences Department  located on the 2nd floor of the MD Building.

Religious Studies offers a variety of courses that articulate especially for the University Studies: Emphasis in Arts and Humanities degree.

The academic study of religion is the multi-disciplinary effort to learn about the diverse elements of behavior, understanding, and organization associated with religious traditions and communities.  Religious Studies at Palomar College focuses on learning about major traditions of religion globally and particularly related to life in the United States.  The curriculum for Religious Studies courses is intended to develop essential skills for living and working in contexts of increasingly international and religious character, for exploration of the diversity of humanity, and to prepare students to be global citizens.
