The Comets carried their form through the weekend as they defeated Mt. San Jacinto, 3-2, on Tuesday. Scoring runs in the 4th, 7th, and 8th to come from behind after the Eagles took the lead early on in the 1st. Palomar’s DH Travis Mitchell had the best day at the dish going 3-4 with 2 RBI’s and a run scored. Breault’s RBI triple in the top of the seventh scored Mitchell to tie the game up at two.

Taylor Turski’s outstanding day on the mound earned his third win of the season. The freshman threw 8 2/3’s innings, only giving up two runs while striking out six. Rusty Huber came in to strikeout the last Eagle batter to pick up his third save this season.

Palomar is now ranked seventh nationally by Perfect Game USA and play next this Thursday at 2 p.m. when they host Mt. San Jacinto at Myers Field.
