SWIM

Mens (2-1 conference)

PALOMAR 141-108 GROSSMONT

The Comets won their second PCAC challenge of the season on Friday, upping their record to 2-1. A time of 1:00.86 was good enough for Rich Farley to capture the 200-yard freestyle. Farley also won the 500-yard freestyle and was apart of Palomar’s 200-yard freestyle relay-winning team with Landon Van Horn, Joe Cain, and Evan Dean.

The McCauley’s each took home a victory with Ryan winning for his 2:05.01 victory in the 200-yard freestyle and Hayden for his 11:01.09 in the 1k-yard free.

In the 200-yard backstroke event it was a Palomar sweep as Andrew Houston (2:18.16), Ryan Rodriguez, and Jonathan Baker swam to the top three spots.

Womens (1-2 conference)

PALOMAR 97-167 GROSSMONT

On the womens side it was a successful week in the pool individually and as a team. At Friday’s meet the Comets won both relays as the team of Morgan Brown, Kendyl Mundt, Paulina De Haan, and Lucy Gates swam a 1:59.40 to win the 200-yard medley relay. The team of Natalie Viescas, Andrea Fairbanks, Lucy Gates, and Shelsea Sommers placed first the 200-yard freestyle field.

Brown (100-yard butterfly; 1:06.38) and De Haan (100-yard backstroke; 1:04.41) also won individually.
