The educational legacy of the old planetarium at Palomar College lives on!
The planetarium was a place where kids could learn about the Universe in a uniquely realistic way. For 43 years we helped nearly a quarter-million kids learn about the Cosmos by providing an affordable field-trip opportunity to a venue that was a learning environment that just can't be duplicated in the classroom. In 2008 the old planetarium was demolished to make way for new campus construction. The new planetarium construction is now complete and the venue is bigger and better than before! State-of-the-art immersive technology allows your group to experience astronomy education like never before. Realistic journeys through our solar system and galaxy will help you and your kids learn about the Universe and augment your educational unit on astronomy. If you are a local educators who would like to be on our mailing list, please fill out the form below and we will periodically send out promotional information that details the benefits of bringing your kids to the new planetarium as part of your unit on astronomy education!
