Peter Sprague – Concert Hour
Howard Brubeck Theatre Howard Brubeck Theatre, 1140 West Mission Road, San Marcos, CA, United StatesPeter Sprague was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 11, 1955. He was raised in Colorado until 1963, when his family moved to Del Mar, California. Inspired by his father's love of jazz, he took up the guitar when he was twelve. By the age of fifteen he was devoting all his time and energy to learning music. He took private lessons, played in his high school stage band, and formed his first group The Minor Jazz Quartet.
John Russell – Concert Hour

Russell, DMA, is Associate Professor of Music and Director of Choral and Vocal Studies at Palomar College. He also serves as the Music Director of the San Diego Master Chorale. At Palomar College, he conducts the Chamber Singers and the Palomar Chorale, teaches applied voice, oversees the vocal music program, and leads the Palomar Choral Academy, an annual week-long immersive choral music experience for high school students. As Music Director of the SD Master Chorale, Dr. Russell conducts and coordinates all the Chorale's artistic activities, including programming an entire concert season with performances around the San Diego region. He also prepares the chorus for performances with San Diego Symphony and regional orchestras.
CRAZY FOR YOU

story of young New York banker Bobby Child, who is sent to Deadrock, Nevada,
to foreclose on a rundown theatre. In Deadrock, Bobby falls for spunky Polly Baker,
the theatre owner’s daughter. But Polly takes an instant dislike to the city slicker,
so Bobby vows – through cunning, razzmatazz, and a hilarious case of mistaken
identity – to win Polly’s heart and save the theatre. Memorable Gershwin tunes
from the score include “I Got Rhythm,” “Naughty Baby,” “They Can’t Take That Away
from Me,” “Embraceable You,” “But Not for Me,” “Nice Work If You Can Get It” and
“Someone to Watch Over Me. Adapted from the Gershwins’ 1930 musical Girl
Crazy, Crazy For You opened on Broadway at the Shubert Theatre on February 19,
1992, starring Harry Groener and Jodi Benson. The show ran for four years, playing
for 1,622 performances.
Eric Dickerson – Concert Hour

He currently performs concerts, nationally, on the Baroque and Romantic guitar as well as the Baroque and Renaissance lute.

North County Choral Festival

Dr. John Russell (Palomar College Director of Choral and Vocal Studies) will be joined by Dr. Christopher Gravis who will present clinics for each performing ensembles in this first annual event. Studio Theatre 1140 West Mission Road, San Marcos, CA, United StatesA wildly creative, absurd and surprising reinvention of Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler. Jane Gordon, a pregnant housewife, is abducted by robots, taken to the rainforest, and forced to perform Hedda Gabler by her robot captors. Meanwhile Nugget, her ten-year-old daughter, with the aid of her milquetoast father, an eager documentary filmmaker and her small arms dealing uncle must rescue Jane - whether she wants to be saved or not. As we approach the AI singularity, Heddatron constructs a bizarre and strangely familiar world of reality TV and rocket launchers where everyone, artificial or otherwise, just wants to feel a little bit human.
