By establishing multiple jazz residencies in San Diego's North County, the group has successfully built new outlets for live jazz in an area that previously had very few, thus garnering attention from San Diego’s Jazz 88.3FM, KPBS, and the San Diego Reader. In the Fall of 2019, the group expanded its horizons with a wide-ranging collaboration with pianist/composer Bob Weller. This multi-generational, diverse partnership has become central to the group's identity.
