The Telescope Weekly: Q&A with Officials, Fast Track 2, Voting

Happy Monday Comets, we hope everyone is enjoying the first few weeks of fall! We’re halfway through the semester already, and there’s a handful of important events happening over the next few days that students should note.

Q&A with Palomar Officials

Do you have questions that you would like answered or are just feeling chatty? A live Q&A session with Interim President Jack Kahn and other Palomar officials is planned for 10:30 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Oct. 15 via Zoom.

Event registration can be found here, and information about how to join the call will be emailed to you.

Fast Track 2 Courses

We’ve hit October, so that means fast track 2 courses are right around the corner. They are scheduled to begin next Monday, Oct. 19.

If you haven’t enrolled yet, don’t worry. Students can find open courses here if they’re looking to add another class, and here if they’re trying to crash.

In addition, an explanation of the grading policy for the fall semester was sent to everyone’s Palomar emails. The information is available in English and Spanish.

Voting Registration Deadline

The deadline to register to vote is Monday, Oct. 19. Palomar offers voting resources and information under the Student Life and Leadership page.

Your voice matters, so be sure to register and vote this year.

For a full spread of all the happenings at Palomar this week, check out the events calendar. We’ll see you next Monday!
