“Mozart in the Jungle” is more than meets the eye

“Mozart in the Jungle” is a surprising hit series that has captured an audience.

Now in its third season, the show, directed by Roman Coppola and Jason Schwartzman, has been met with rave reviews praising the pace, script, acting, and directing.

“Mozart in the Jungle” is streamed by audiences through Amazon Video. This platform is Amazon’s proposal for a streaming service that allows audiences to rent, buy, and stream movies and television series.

This series is based loosely on the memoirs of Blair Tindal, a former oboist of the New York Symphony. The show introduces Hailey Rutledge, played by Lola Kirke, an oboist aspiring to get first chair in the New York Symphony. Rutledge is a relatable character, who continues to work hard despite her failures.

The Symphony itself is hilarious. Among many creative characters it contains a percussionist who is always on drugs, a cellist who never has a stable relationship, and a narcissist ex-conductor.

The show contains an awesome supporting cast, and does a great job at keeping a comfortable, comedic pace for the audience.

Without a doubt, the best character is Rodrigo de Souza, played by Gael García Bernal. Bernal won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Musical/Comedy Series for his portrayal of an eccentric, egoistic and genius maestro in this series.

“Mozart in the Jungle” is a total blast and easily one of the best comedy series available today. It offers a range of musical flavor as the main soundtrack features classical pieces by great composers Beethoven, Mozart and Tchaikovsky.

The music is supported by amazing imagery that is prominently featured. “Mozart in the Jungle” is dedicated to music buffs who want to laugh. The third season just premiered last December and has been renewed for a fourth season set to hit the streaming service late this year.

The series is definitely worth a subscription to Amazon Prime, and if you are a fan of classical music or Bernal’s career, this series is a must watch for you.
