RUTH WEBER holds a Bachelor of Music degree from San Diego State University and a Master of Music degree from California State University, Northridge. She is presently the Applied Music Coordinator at Palomar College and has taught piano, theory, and music history and accompanying at Palomar and S.D. Miramar Colleges.

Ms. Weber has served as Artistic director/conductor of the San Diego Jewish Men’s Choir for over 9 years and has appeared internationally as a pianist/accompanist. She has worked as an accompanist/coach with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Institute, Opera Aguascalientes, CSUN, The San Fernando Valley Men’s Choir, as a recording artist with the Marantz Pianocorder Division, as Artistic Director for Jean Will Presents… , and as the conductor of the Disciple Singers.

Ruth is an accomplished songwriter whose music has won the New York Pro/Am Songwriting Competition, the Jewish American Songwriting Competition, the Music City Song Festival, Grand Prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition, the Global Peace Song Awards, the Shalshelet Music Festival, and the Grand Prize in the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, to name a few. Her compositions have appeared on discs, in film scores, and in print music with Hal Leonard Music/Transcontinental Music Publishing. In 2019 she served as the choral arranger and conductor for the soundtrack of the feature film One Little Finger, and symphonic arrangements of some of her songs have been performed by the Omaha and Nashville Symphonies.

Ms. Weber and her daughter make up the mother/daughter children’s duo Ruth and Emilia. Their two albums have garnered numerous awards including the prestigious Parent’s Choice Award, Mom’s Choice Award, Creative Child Magazine’s Children’s Album of the Year Award, and the NAPPA Award.

Ms. Weber is a member of ASCAP, and is a voting Grammy member.
