Trumpeter and Adjunct Professor Jonathan Ingber joined Palomar College in 2004. To date, he has taught Applied Music, Music Appreciation, Music Fundamentals, and has directed the Palomar Brass Ensemble and the Palomar Concert Band. He also taught part time at MiraCosta College for 10 years.
Jonathan conducts the Civic Youth Orchestra Wind Ensemble and is a public school music coach and private trumpet instructor. He performs as a soloist and chamber musician, and is a founding member of the quintet, Premier Brass. Former Principal Trumpet of Lyric Opera San Diego, he also has worked with the San Diego Symphony and the San Diego Opera.
He is a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music (M.M., 1988) and the University of Southern California (B.M., 1986). Jonathan and his wife make their home in Carlsbad. Their daughter is a professional musician in Boston and is working on her Masters Degree in violin performance.
