Get in the flow!

Okay, so you sit down at your desk and you just can not get a flow on homework started, the late assignments are piling up while professors continue to assign more- UGH! So, what do you do? I suggest blasting up your favorite playlist, maybe grab a snack and some water and start the grind.

Listening to music can keep you in the rhythm. Research has shown that listening to music can reduce anxiety, blood pressure, and pain as well as improve sleep quality, mood, mental alertness, and memory. Article posted on Hopkinsmedicine.org quotes, “If you want to keep your brain engaged throughout the aging process, listening to or playing music is a great tool. It provides a total brain workout.”

With this being said, all that’s left is setting up your perfect study playlist. You are going to want to add more up beat and faster paced beats like Drake, A$AP Rocky, Travis Scott, $NOT, and any other of your favorite hype artists when working on problem solving subjects like algebra and chemistry. I find while working on essays and all writing assignments, slower tempo music including Brent Faiyaz, Frank Ocean, Jhene Aiko, Bryson Tiller, and Tame Impala.

Also for my open minded people, classical music has been found to really get the brain going, I personally only listen to Beethoven C minor to fall asleep but if that gets you going on the study grind- Get your flow!
