Palomar Theater’s “Fools” Begins Production

San Marcos–Palomar College Theatre Arts will be introducing the theatrical play “Fools” written by Neil Simon and directed by Michael Mufson. “Fools” will be performed at The Performing Arts Courtyard on Oct. 7 through Oct. 10. Masks will be required for the performance.

“Fools” will be the PAC’s first performance of the fall semester, however due to the delta variant, other upcoming performances will possibly be held over Zoom. The live Zoom production will be the 6th in line, and have been effective in remaining observant in this unpredictable time, while still holding experimental performances. “Fools” is a comedy fairytale about the village Kulyenchikov that has been cursed with stupidity for the past 200 years. The villagers seek a cure to break the curse or remain stupid forever. “Fools” begins as a comedic fable that evolved from a romantic tragedy, with a turn of events that culminates into a lesson learned.
