SAN MARCOS — The grand opening for Palomar College’s award-winning Maintenance and Operations building is to be held at 2 p.m. on April 12. The new facility is located in the southwest corner of the San Marcos campus.
The nationally-acclaimed M&O building is a “Net Zero” project. These are structures that utilize renewable energy to produce no carbon emissions and eliminate the consumption of utility-scale sources.
The M&O building has also won several awards for its environmentally-friendly design, including the Engineering News-Record Magazine’s national “Best of the Best” decoration.
