Spring awakening auditions

The Performing Arts Center will be holding auditions for the Spring Awakening musical from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 17.

Auditions will be held at the Performing Arts Complex in D-10, according to their website.

Students interested must have a one-minute comedic or dramatic monologue prepared. A requirement of 32 bars or a one minute cut of a musical theater song must also be included in the audition.

Those auditioning are encouraged to bring sheet music in the correct key for the accompanist. A cappella pieces for the audition will not be allowed.

Important dates to remember:

Callbacks will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Jan 17.

Rehearsals will be held on Jan. 19 to Feb. 25 from 6 to 11 p.m.

Performances will be on Feb. 26 to March 6.

Students can pick up scripts at the Howard Brubeck Theatre Box Office.
