Tuesday, March 10, 2015:

  • Alcohol Awareness Event – Every day in America, another 28 people die as a result of drunk driving crashes. Learn how you can take action to keep yourself and your friends safe in social situations where alcohol may be present at our Alcohol Awareness event. Palomar College Health Services Center, Police Department, Counseling Department, Office of Student Affairs, ASG, Vista Community Clinic, the Women’s Resource Center and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) will have great education and resources on topics related to alcohol use and spring break safety. – 11am-1pm SU Quad

  • Informational Meeting for Transitional/Kindergarten Program – T/K program only. Refer your family and friends. They get priority, and if they enroll, you will be entered into a drawing for a $50 credit toward your bill. Pre-enrollment begins at the meeting.   • Concert Hour: Patton & Sprague – “Freedom is one of the perks of being a duo,” guitarist Peter Sprague wrote as he and vocalist Leonard Patton prepared this performance. “We frequently start one song, make up some new sonic material, create some loops and then attempt a safe landing in another aural vista.” Look for jazz, samba, Americana and music from The Beatles! – 12:30pm, D10 (Performance Lab)

  • Adverb Clauses: A FREE ESL Workshop – What is a clause? What is an adverbial clause? What ideas can an adverbial clause express? If you want answers to these questions, if you want to really take your sentence production to the next level, then come to this free English Learners’ Friday (ELF) workshop. You will review and learn a great skill to write multiple ideas in the same sentence. – 11am, H-118 (ESL Computer Lab)
